Ken’s incident OCing around Police Officer
July 22nd, 2011 was approached by a Trooper from Troop E and asked what his business was. Trooper requested ID and pistol permit. Bank where he was located was not posted. Trooper took ID and Permit to car. Short while later Trooper returned into bank and handed back ID and
Permit. Trooper questioned Ken about reasons for Open Carrying even though he understood the laws. Trooper said if someone made a complaint, he would have to arrest Ken for Breach of Peace. Ken finished business at bank and Trooper agreed to meet after bank business was finished. Ken approached the Trooper and continued the conversation. Ken felt the Trooper was unprofessional in his speech during this manner. Complaint was filed through their website for complaints/compliments. No profane language was used, but Ken feels the Trooper’s overall demeanor was unprofessional. Got some response from a Lt. from DPS who after some further questions said there was no reason to continue the investigation and no further action needed to be taken, but would file the complaint permanently in the Trooper’s file in case a future event occurs.

Utah had a reciprocity agreement with many states. Last year they had cancelled 200+ permits. In the first half of this year they had to cancel almost 300 permits due to the Utah permit being cheaper than the other state’s permit and the other state cancelled reciprocity with Utah.

Shall issue reform in CT
Scott started and outline for the campaign.
When it’s done, we’re going to need volunteers to go to their reps and senators to get this passed. We’re going to need enough backing in the legislature to get it passed.

Brief Summary: ATF was going to border town gun dealers and getting them to notify the ATF when known gun smugglers came into the store. The ATF told the gun dealers to sell them the firearms and those firearms made it across the Mexican border and end up being used by the drug dealers in Mexico where some Border Potrol Agents where killed by them.
